I'm stucked in the office now at 10:24pm, but I just have to post this! This is way toooooo interesting!
Sai Lo Lo had developed a GI slow down last Friday. He is slowly recovering now, but is still eating and pooping less than usual. GF was home an hour ago, and found he had only a few poops there. So I told her to try "slave induced poop war", by putting him on Jai Jai's litterbox. Guess what? He immediately laid a pile of poops there!!! This is really the best psychological treatment to encourage pooping!!!
I didn't invent this though. Thanks to Daryl from alt.pets.rabbits. I learnt this today from one of his old posts.
Sai Lo Lo! I love you! Gimme more POOPS!!!

Interesting!
I must ask bun friends to try in similar situations. But I guess it would only work for unbonded buns!?
Anyway, so great to hear that Sai Lo Lo is pooping piles!!! :D
Yes, I guess it would only work for unbonded buns, although I've seen Jai Jai and Mui Mui having poop wars once in a while.
Poops are lovely, aren't they?
yup... I enjoy looking at the poo... Sai Lo Lo... how are you? I like you a lot gar... poo more!
So interesting to use the other rabbit's toilet to encourage them to poo more... @@"
Thanks everyone!
We've tried the poop war trick twice with good results, but his overall pooping amount still cannot satisfy me...
It's very difficult to observe his hay consumption amount, since he tends to eat hay when we are not around. Perhaps the Critical Care force feeding is bringing him much stress. Yet we're sure he's eating some hay, and he can usually clear up the veggies we give.
Also he's looking fine. Lying in his favourite spots looking relaxed, running around chewing things, and even binkied a bit. He's just eating and pooping less than usual. Maybe what we need is a bit more patience...
and more body/tummy message~
sailolo, be a good boy.
Already giving him tummy massage 2-3 times a day. Also he's still on Propulsid (a GI tract movement thing). I'm sure he'll be a good boy.
